Finance rigor, applied to artificial intelligence.

Automation built the way a finance function builds a control: a stated method, a checkable number, one owner.

The inventory

12 tools · 3 domains

A toolkit is not a capability, and a wall of logos is not evidence of either. What follows is the inventory: what I actually work in, and which of the three domains each one serves. Counted, not curated.

What the tools do not cover

Converting intricate data and AI output into a recommendation a non-technical audience can act on. Navigating a tense discussion without losing the argument. Presenting to people who control a budget. None of it appears in an inventory, and all of it decides whether the work lands.

Why the list is short

Twelve is not a boast, it is a limit. A tool earns a place here by being used on something real, and leaves the list when it stops being. The number is meant to stay small enough to be true.

The standard

0 published

There are no case studies on this page. That is a deliberate position, not an omission, so it is worth stating plainly rather than hiding behind three placeholder tiles.

Most AI work is presented as a percentage with nothing behind it. A number without a baseline, a method, or a way to check it is decoration. I would rather publish nothing than publish that.

The record on the right is the form every case study has to fill before it appears here. When a client engagement clears it, it goes up, and the ledger in the margin changes from zero.

Case recordtemplate
Problemstated in the client's words
Baselinemeasured before, not estimated after

Resultmeasured the same way as the baseline

Reconciliation

Everything above the rule is inventory. Below it, the only figure that carries any weight: one person, accountable for the result.

Twelve tools, three domains, two languages, four principles, zero published case studies. One person accountable for the result.

The audit log

4 principles

Four commitments. They are here because AI work fails on judgment far more often than it fails on capability, and because a principle that is not written down is a preference.

[✓]integrityTruthful and loyal toward the work, with uncompromising integrity.
[✓]learningLearns systematically when facing a knowledge gap, rather than covering it.
[✓]transparencyMaintains transparency about AI risks and about the assumptions a model is making.
[✓]evidenceProvides unbiased analysis grounded in evidence, including when the evidence is inconvenient.

If any of this is the way you would want the work done, write to me and say what you are trying to fix.
